The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), Adeoye Fadeyibi has reiterated his commitment to tame the menace of vandalism within its axis.
Fadeyibi stated this during an interview with journalists in Lagos on Monday. He lamented the unwholesome act of energy theft, saying that it is greatly hampering power supply.
According to him: “ It is a thing of big concern that whilst we toil day and night to continuously improve on our operations and services, some unpatriotic individuals are engaging in the condemnable act of energy theft and meter by-pass.”
Adeoye advised those who engage in those villainous practice to desist, otherwise they would get disgraced as EKEDC would explore all legal options, including prosecution and naming and shaming in the media, to bring such saboteurs of their efforts to book.
