
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has lamented the poor state of the Enugu Airport during the visit of Senate Aviation Committee on oversight at the Airport.
Senator Bruce, who represents Bayelsa East senatorial district took to his Twitter handle to lament the poor state of the facilities described the airport as disgraceful.

“Senate Aviation Committee on oversight in Enugu airport. Disgraceful airport. Dirty toilets. Failed runway. Yet contractor paid in full.
“Runway approach lights not working. Crater on runway. Falling roof. Infrastructure is in a complete state of decay. DISGRACEFUL!”

No lounge
The senator, who further stated that the Airport has no resting place or lounge for Pilots or crew despite getting over N100billion from the aviation sector as allocation added that 28 mystery containers in the airport have been there for almost three years.
“No lounge. No rest place for pilots or crew. With over N100billion annual revenue from the aviation sector, I’m speechless!.
“Currently, there are 28 mystery containers at the Enugu airport and no one knows what’s inside. The containers have been here since Jan 2014.”
