
MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL), a proud affiliate of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) Plc, has disclosed a meticulously scheduled power interruption in select areas of Enugu State that will last for ten days.
In an announcement made via X on Monday, October 21, the company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Emeka Ezeh, elucidated that the power outage is set to occur from October 22 to October 31, occurring daily between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The statement conveyed: “MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) wishes to notify its valued patrons in various sectors of the Enugu metropolis that a planned power interruption will begin on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, and conclude on Friday, October 31, 2025, during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“This initiative is part of the ongoing rehabilitation and enhancement projects undertaken by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) at its New Haven Station.
“The procedure will impact the following 33KV feeders adhering to the specified timetable: Kingsway line 1 on October 22, followed by Emene Industrial line 1 on October 23, Thinkers Corner on October 24, Trans Ekulu on October 25, Kingsway line 2 and 9th mile on October 26, Emene Industrial line 2 on October 28, Ugwuogo on October 29, and Ituku Ozalla on October 31, 2025.
“As a result, customers supplied by the affected feeders will experience disruption in service solely on the day their specific feeder is scheduled for this undertaking.
“We sincerely apologize for any discomfort this endeavor may inflict upon our esteemed customers and urge for their patience as this project aims to enhance the quality of our services.”
