The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, affirms that there is no preferential zone for infrastructure advancement within the nation’s capital.
The minister articulated this declaration on Wednesday as he commenced the projects in Guzape and Asokoro regions of the FCT.
“In my constitutional responsibilities to furnish the FCT with essential facilities, I bear no preference for any specific locality, but rest assured, the progression will encompass every corner of Abuja. A friend of mine once inquired, ‘When will this infrastructure enhancement arrive in our area?’
“I do not discern which place is which. As a minister, I reside in Asokoro village. My singular aim is to distribute the benefits of democracy to the residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
“Yet again, our ambition is to render Abuja competitive with major cities in the developed world.
