A real estate expert and the Group Managing Director, CFL Group, Lai Omotola, has stressed that improvement of the construction industry would go a long way in getting Nigeria out of the dungeon of recession and not oil and gas.
He made this remark recently during a press briefing at the E-Boot Camp Conference Center in Maryland Lagos.
Speaking on the state of the nation, Omotola stated that massive investments in construction industry would pull Nigeria out of recession as soon as possible..
In his words“If you do not build houses, you cannot get out of recession as fast as you want to. It is the construction industry, not the oil and gas that gets you out of recession as soon and fast as possible.
He said that if the Government collaborate with the relevant private sector in the housing sector, it would yield tremendous results that would have multiplier effects in the socio-economic lives of Nigerans.
