
As part of effort to ease the suffering of commuters and motorists, the Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa has flagged-off the construction of Beach road in Etegbin .
According to him: “Everyone is talking about the dire need of infrastructure; this also involves road construction, rehabilitation, upgrading and extending existing road networks.”
He said the council would continue to do its best to meet the yearnings of the residents of the local government area. Beach Road, according to Asafa, is one of the roads considered, noting that the economic and social benefits would be enormous after construction.
According to him, the administration is aware of the importance of the availability of accessible roads, saying the best is being done to alleviate the hardship faced by people in the area.
“Beach road construction will be about 800 meters long with drainage system on both sides. On record, we have achieved a total of 2,400 meters concerning roads and we are going to do more,” he posited.
Since inception, roads which has been constructed include Aiyetoro, Otunba Oloto and Sule Alaso roads.
He added that Morontola Street and Iyana-Era Amosu Igboro roads have been considered for construction and people living in that axis will soon heave a sigh of relieve
