
About 42 firms have expressed interest in the rehabilitation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Information Technology Division (ITD) centres nation-wide.
This was made known in Abuja by the Group General Manager, Information Technology Division of the NNPC, Danladi Inuwa, during the bid opening at the NNPC Towers.
Inuwa, who was represented by the General Manager, IT Infrastructure of the Corporation, Muhammadu Usman, noted that the firms that scaled the hurdles of the keenly-contested bids, would be given the task of rehabilitating the Corporation’s IT Centers in Abuja, Benin, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Kaduna, and Warri.
Inuwa said that the corporation would ensure that the project contract was given to the most competent firms, noting that the plan to embark on the rehabilitation work was to provide a conducive IT working condition for its various stakeholders and members of staff.
He added that the opening bid was conducted in a fairly for all the bidders to prove their mettle, adding that the policy of transparency had been the hallmark of the corporation.
The Group General Manager, Supply Chain Management, Shehu Liman, said that the bid process was in compliance with the Bureau of Public Procurement Act.
