The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has disclosed that the only panacea to the lingering fuel crisis in the south east is the rehabilitation of Enugu depot petrol depot.

The IPMAN Chairman, Enugu Depot, Ikechukwu Nwankwo, disclosed this in an interview with journalists, in Awka, on Wednesday.

According to him, since the depot had developed fault over 10 years ago, petroleum products dealers in the south-east, who lift products from the depot now depend on other depots, adding that this adds to their expenditure and the cost as well.

Nwankwo lamented that the NNPC had not been supplying the product sufficiently to marketers, noting that this development had contributed largely to high cost of the products.

He said that customers in the area would bear the brunt, because marketers from the zone were not protected by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) like other depots
