The Transmission Company of Nigeria has disclosed a forthcoming four-day power interruption impacting Lekki, Ikoyi, Jakande, and neighboring regions of Lagos State.
In a statement shared on X this Wednesday, spokesperson Ndidi Mbah unveiled the details of this announcement.
The outage, anticipated to commence on October 11, 12, 18, and 19, 2025, will span eight hours each day.
According to TCN, this scheduled interruption aims to facilitate essential maintenance on the Ajah/Lekki 330 kV transmission line on October 11, 2025, followed by repairs to the Ajah/Alagbon 330 kV line on October 12, 18, and 19, 2025.
“The upkeep of the Ajah/Lekki 330kV line will allow TCN’s contractors to install a transformer protective system on the 300MVA 330/132/33kV power transformer located at the Alagbon Transmission Substation.
“Furthermore, TCN’s skilled maintenance crew will replace deteriorated insulators on pivotal towers of the Ajah/Alagbon and Ajah/Lekki 330 kV transmission lines.
“As a result, an 8-hour power suspension will occur from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the Ajah/Lekki 330 kV line on October 11, 2025, and on the Ajah/Alagbon 330 kV line on October 12, 18, and 19, 2025.
“We express our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause to electricity customers in Lekki, Ikoyi, Jakande, and the surrounding areas during this time,” stated TCN.
