The Transmission Company of Nigeria has successfully revitalized bulk electricity distribution to the Mando-Kaduna 132-kilovolt transmission line after several days of disruptions in numerous regions of the state, mainly in the southern expanse of Kaduna.
The representative of TCN, Ndidi Mbah, shared this news in a formal announcement on Friday.
She revealed that the complete bulk electricity supply was reinstated around 5 pm on Thursday following the meticulous repair of the collapsed Tower No. 7 located in the Rigasa Community, Kaduna State.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) seeks to inform the public that power supply has been entirely restored via the 132 kV transmission line impacted by the recent downfall of Tower No. 7 in Rigasa Community, Kaduna State.
“The comprehensive restoration of bulk power transmission was triumphantly finalized on October 9, 2025, at 5:23 pm, subsequent to the repair and bolstering of the fallen tower, which was diligently executed by TCN’s devoted engineering and maintenance teams.
“We sincerely value the patience and cooperation of electricity consumers who were inconvenienced by this incident, as well as the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company for their unwavering support during the outage period,” TCN remarked.
It is worth noting that TCN clarified that the collapse of its towers in Kaduna State Town Line I and II within the Rigasa community prompted outages in certain sectors of the state, predominantly in Southern Kaduna.
